John Frew, AMIEAust

Mr John Frew, Esq. AMIEAust, was a member of The Institution of Engineers, Australia for over 48 years. From the time that he was admitted as a member in 1938, Mr Frew was an active member in Institution activities and in the Engineering Community. During his membership, Mr Frew was a member of the Tasmania, Sydney and Queensland Divisions. After obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the Glasgow University, Scotland, Mr Frew worked as a Civil Engineering Draughtsman. His fields of speciality included water supply, sewerage, road & bridge works. Mr Frew worked for both public (Lanarkshire County Council (UK), Brisbane City Council) and private companies (Messers Gutteridge Haskins & Davey Consulting Engineers).

A bequest to the Institution of Engineers, Australia from Mr John Frew, Esq. AMIEAust has enabled this service to be delivered to members of Queensland Division.
